Om de voornoemde doelen te bereiken is de Landsbemiddelaar belast met bemiddeling bij cao-onderhandelingen en ontstane arbeidsgeschillen, het houden van personeelsreferenda in verband met erkenning van vakbonden als vertegenwoordigende lichamen van werknemers.
