WILLEMSTAD – Elk kind heeft recht op alimentatie tot 21 jaar. Indien een kind schoolgaand is, heeft deze tot zijn 25ste jaar recht op alimentatie. Het alimentatiebedrag kan door middel van een rechtelijke beschikking of bij overeenkomst worden vastgesteld. Maandelijks dient het bedrag aan alimentatie door de ouder betaald te worden.<\/p>\n

Conform het bepaalde in artikel 402a, eerste lid van Boek 1 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek dienen de bij rechterlijke uitspraak of bij overeenkomst vastgestelde bedragen voor levensonderhoud van rechtswege aangepast te worden met een door de minister van Justitie vast te stellen percentage, de zogenaamde indexering.<\/p>\n

Bij ministeri\u00eble beschikking gedateerd 13 december 2023 heeft de minister van Justitie de indexering vastgesteld op 2.70% voor het kalenderjaar 2024. Zodoende zullen de bedragen voor levensonderhoud met ingang van 1 januari 2024 verhoogd worden met 2.70%.<\/p>\n

Bijvoorbeeld, een ouder die 100 gulden per maand aan alimentatie betaalt\/ ontvangt voor een kind, zal een verhoging kennen van 2 gulden en 70 cent ingaande 1 januari 2024.<\/p>\n

Met deze tabel kunt u een nieuwe berekening maken van hoeveel er betaald moet worden aan alimentatie vanaf januari 2024:
