August 23, is the “International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition”. On August 23 of each year, the day designated by UNESCO to memorialize the transatlantic slave trade.
The Atlantic slave trade or transatlantic slave trade involved the transportation by slave traders of enslaved African people, mainly to the Americas.
On August 23th we have paid a tribute to Tula and the other slaves who have paid with their lifes for us to be free!
