Curaçao brings Caribbean leaders and youth together for the ‘Caribbean United in Excellence Summit’
WILLEMSTAD – As part of the official commemoration of ‘Dia di Outonomia’ (Autonomy Day), Curaçao is bringing together Caribbean heads of government, representatives, experts and the youth on Friday, October 9, 2026, for the Caribbean United in Excellence Summit. Centered on the theme “Caribbean United in Excellence,” the gathering focuses on strengthening regional cooperation and collaboratively seeking concrete solutions to the challenges facing Caribbean nations and islands.
The Summit is a key component of the activities marking the October 10 commemoration, offering Curaçao an opportunity to reflect on its own development as an autonomous country within the Kingdom while also looking ahead to the position and potential of the Caribbean as a region.
The general idea is that Caribbean nations and islands share many challenges and ambitions despite their distinct identities and specific circumstances. By pooling knowledge, experience, talent and expertise, the countries in the region can strengthen one another and work together on sustainable solutions that align with the region’s realities.
